The Advaita by Shri Ananda Levine
This photo of a freeze frame creates the illusion that the earing is transformed in an anti-gravity silver ball... Kind of !
The reality is like that. Advaita (non-duality) as I understand it. Human identified with what are they are not. There is only what it is and we are the Consciousness who see it.
This Consciousness is us but not at a personal level.
The experience as a whole is the consciousness, it includes everything that it is perceived, what it is.
Therefore our panick if we are the body, the mind and the I.
What would happens if the body is sick?
What would arrived tomorrow?
Why am I not completed?
I would have to reincarnate caus I would die.
I desire this, I desire that.
That is infinite and can never be completely fullfilled, although it can be in part, or one could have the illusion it is.
For instance, if one succeed in life with the standard that the society call success.
At the level of the human experience, it is ok.
There is nothing wrong of being happy !
But it is a limited experience that leads to death and nothing else, reincarnation if it is possible (what reincarnated precisely).
Having say that, my experience of identification. I have a kind of nightmare where I work, and there was this little boss that I prefer not having as a little boss. At one point I was chase by a rate that transformed in a big cat.
The absurdity of the dream which happen mostly cause we dont control the mind when we are asleep.
And we have the illusion to control more when we are awake
But are we really controlling anything?
If I get sick for instance.
Or if my stomach do some embarring noise in social situation (?). What control I have on that? Is it me if I dont want to happens.
